Christopher Freiman is Associate Professor of Philosophy at William and Mary College. He is graduate of Duke University (B.A. in Philosophy) and the University of Arizona  (M.A., Ph.D. in Philosophy). His recent book, Unequivocal Justice, criticizes the role of idealization in contemporary political philosophy. Freiman’s work has appeared in venues such as the Australasian Journal of PhilosophyPhilosophical Studies, Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, The Journal of Ethics and Social PhilosophyPolitics, Philosophy, and Economics, and The Oxford Handbook of Political Philosophy. Professor Freiman’s research interests include democratic theory, distributive justice, and immigration.

His book “Why It’s OK to Ignore Politics” will be released in July 2020.
